Keeping kidlets occupied while traveling is no mean feat. We’ve all used portable DVD players for their favorite movies and toting along a zillion books to read on the plane, but here’s another cool idea from Travel Time Stories….it’s a personalized CD full of favorite kidlet stories.
Every story has a customized introduction, spoken to your child using his or her first name, to explain what to listen for in the story. The introduction includes a well-known classical music excerpt, with music played by a symphony or chamber orchestra, from composers such as Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Handel, and Beethoven. Your child’s name will be custom printed on the CD’s label.
There are 3 CD’s to choose from and any one of them would be a perfect gift for your kidlet or even a for a grandparent to keep for their babysitting days. Stories include many familiar favorites such as Hansel and Gretel, The Princess and the Pea, The Emperor’s New Clothes and many more. Enjoy!

If you haven’t heard of Mrs. Meyers products, this would be an excellent time to familiarize and treat yourself!
Their new limited-edition rhubarb fragrance has just come out, and is offered as yet another one of their incredibly convenient Spring Cleaning Kits. (I’m still using my Honeysuckle kit from last year!)
We’re big fans of Mrs. Meyers for many reasons, but most importantly because her company is dedicated to making natural products that are safe for use around children, pets, and expectant mommies - with no harsh fumes, no solvents, no petroleum distillates, no bleach, and no phosphates. If you’ve ever thought about how much time your baby spends on the floors of your home, you’ve realized that little ones come into contact with our multitude of cleaning products far more than we ever do.
Along with the health benefits, Mrs. Meyers products are earth-friendly, cruelty-free, reasonably priced, long lasting, and smell heavenly to boot.
You may also want to check out the Baby Blossom scent, in is a line of gentle products formulated specifically for baby care with organic essential oils, ranging from laundry detergent to room freshening spray.
I’m also excited to try the new Basil scent… (Can you tell I like this stuff or what!?)

How quickly our kidlets grow…sometimes it seems they wear an outfit once and outgrow it immediately. Not only does this hurt the wallet, but it demonstrates the need to preserve precious memories (I know I’m fondly remembering the sweet, sleeping bundle of newborn joy now that he’s morphed into a independent, demanding, melt-down-prone toddler….).
One of the nicest ways to preserve the memories and get more use out of those out-grown clothes is a baby-clothes quilt. Not only are they wonderful for you to cuddle up with on a chilly evening, but they can also become a treasured heirloom that you someday pass on to your children’s children.
If you possess any sewing skills of your own, Heather Long has provided excellent instructions for making your own quilt. For those of us who have no skills or time to make our own, there are quilt-making services available, but be prepared to shell out a lot of money for these — usually between $300 and $1000.
For our money, we’ll take the homemade quilts. There are plenty of beginner’s quilting lessons widely available on the Internet and even at your local fabric stores. Perfection is not near as important as the love that goes into it!

Or technically, the WedgEZ™ Outlet Plug Remover. It's very useful to have on hand, whatever you call it. Especially if you've only managed to have one manicure since having a baby and don't want to break off two fingernails while trying to get the plug out of the wall so you can vacuum. (Not that I've had any personal experience with this dilemma…)
This outlet plug remover "will help you easily and safely remove protective electrical outlet plugs without damage to walls or the plugs themselves.
The unique shape of this tool
will fit comfortably in your hand and provide a steady grip. Built-on
clips will make WedgEZ™ The Outlet Plug Remover easy to attach to your
standard vacuum cord for convenient accessibility when you need it."
Oh, so I see I'm not the only one with the vacuum problem? My God, these people are geniuses!
This brilliant invention sells for just $3.99, or you can get 3 for $9.99 so you're not turning the house upside down trying to remember where you put it… although that's where the vacuum clip would come in handy, huh? Sheer genius, I'm telling you…
