Fleurville Re-Run Messenger -OgoEven though I’m not in the market for a diaper bag, I sure did a LOT of extensive research of and shopping for them a few years back. So I was delighted to discover today that Fleurville, synonymous with trendiness (and priciness), has developed new, ultra-cool diaper bags made from recycled plastic bottles. Called Re-Run, this new line of bags is crafted by processing used plastic bottles into fabric. They use this instead of PVC, which many other diaper bags use because it’s a cheap material. So that makes this bag safer than others for your kids, plus it’s obviously environmentally friendly and can set a great example for kids about the importance of thinking about the environment, even when using everyday items like a diaper bag.

These bags posess all of the usual wonderfulness of regular Fleurville bags, with new bonuses like internal fleece-lined sunglass and IPod pockets, plus an ear bud pass-through badge.

I sure wish these would have been around a few years ago for me… But kudos to Fleurville for developing this cool recycled material now for such a great, functional purpose. And for making them so much more affordable than their others (about half price!).

Messenger-style diaper bags in 5 diferent colors/patterns Available from $74.95 at Amazon.com. They also offer Re-Run stroller diaper bags and micro-pods starting at $27.95.

Ha ha… I got a kick out of this one. It’s funny because it’s not true! But if you want your kid to kiss up to Dad a little on Father’s Day, then this shirt might be for you.

Plus if can be worn even after the holiday, if any additional kissing-up is called for in the future…

Sizes 6 Mo. - 5T. $18 - $20 at Babystyle.com

I’m excited because I just discovered another great BPA-free product for kids (okay, and adults too)! Summertime is here, and what goes with sunshine, barbecues, and wading pools better than refreshing popsicles? (That sounds especially nice to me right now, with 90 degree weather this week…ugh!)

With these popsicle molds from The Land of Nod you can make your own popsicles right at home and choose exactly what ingredients go inside. So if you don’t want your kids overloading on corn syrup, artificial flavors & colors, then try using homemade juice or smoothie in the molds. You could get really creative with what you “sneak” inside, if need be.

I also love that you can choose a shape - my favorite are the rockets. There’s also “green star” or “yellow groovy”, and they all have the added feature of no-drip holders and plastic insulated sleeves so kids can set them down or take their time. Everything is dishwasher safe, too. And if you really like these, they also have ice cream sandwich molds! Yum…

$10.95 for a set of 6 at The Land of Nod

Organic Grooming by Herban Cowboy Dusk Organic Cologne
Yes, they do! Many companies - including Origins, Burt’s Bees, and Herban Cowboy - offer natural and even organic lines of skincare for men, because I’m sure even they worry from time to time about all the chemcials they slather on…right? Plus I’ve always liked the idea of giving grooming and skincare products as gifts because they’re usually something he wouldn’t buy for himself, and will make him stop complaining about the burning of his aftershave or make him smell better. So it’s a win-win.

Here are some of one of my personal favorite Herban Cowboy’s great things:

Organic Grooming by Herban Cowboy Dusk Deodorant Organic Grooming by Herban Cowboy makes a Dusk Deodorant is “the manly deodorant that actually works!”. It’s supposed to be the best natural deodorants on the market, (for men or women). If you’ve ever tried to switch to a natural deodorant, you’ll appreciate this huge accomplishment. It’s free of aluminum (the effective ingredient in conventional deodorant/antiperspirants), alcohol, and artificial colors, and is also vegan, cruelty-free and sweatshop-free. All of their products’ packaging is made from recycled plastic, too.

Be sure to check out their other great “manly” stuff like organic cologne (pictured above), shave & aftershave cremes, and milled soap bars.

All available at Drugstore.com, starting at $5.39.
